Get Involved

Being on the CUCSA committee is hugely rewarding and is a lot of fun. It gives you the chance to plan great events, help societies get going, raise money for charity and adds great value to your CV.

CUCSA members are elected by the campus student body. We hold elections online twice a year – one in spring and one in autumn. All students from the campus universities can vote.  A link to the voting page will be shared online on the day of the election.

In order to stand for election, you must first have a think about what position you’d like to run for. A description of the different roles available can be found here. We recommend that you get in touch with someone on CUCSA to talk about what being on the committee is like. Once you’ve decided, you will need to submit a nomination form online. Nominations are open twice a year, just before the election day. To nominate yourself, you will need a ‘seconder’ which is a student who studies at a Crichton university campus who supports your standing in the election. If you like, you can ask a current committee member to second you. It’s up to you how much you campaign, if at all.
