Freshers’ Fair Wednesday 18th 12midday – 5pm @ Maxwell House and surrounds
One of our biggest events during Freshers’ Week is Freshers’ Fair where you can meet and mingle with our sports and societies on campus as well as loads of people, pubs, services and shops from around Dumfries. And if that wasn’t exciting enough for you what about our pub quiz where you could win yourself some truly awesome prizes!
This year we’re bigger and better than ever! Here’s just some of the people attending our Fair this year:
We have our lovely Cocktail making friends Mississippi giving out some free samples of their menu, our freshers friends The Queensbury and The Venue will have some stalls as well as plenty of other busniess including a few banks to give you tips on students savings.
We’ve got clubs galore both our own on campus such as our sailing, football or netball teams and plenty from in and around including running club, curling and even scuba diving or ice hockey!
And lots of help and advice groups such as NHS quit smoking, the LGBT group and our own GU nightline and student services
We have our own Drinks Tent with a Pub Quiz kicking off at 4pm with prizes to be won. We also have catering from Ballards Butchers throughout the day.
There’ll be lots of info, lots of freebies and lots to get involved in so make sure you head along and check it out from 12 midday (11 for our Nurses)
And remember we have our UV Night at Chancers from 12midnight.
