10612823_10154016337042619_6303709517779250502_nFor the first time, this year’s Environment Fair is supported by university students and takes place in Rutherford McCowan on Saturday 14 March 2015.

Funded by the Dumfries and Galloway Council the Environment Fair is aiming to showcase the diversity of organisations involved in and with the natural environment of Dumfries and Galloway while providing a fun and informative day for the whole family.

Over 50 environmental organisations will be in attendance, representing a lively mix of small local projects and larger national concerns. Find out what’s being done in Dumfries and Galloway to protect and enhance our very special environment, and more broadly what we can all do to ensure the best future for our world. Dozens of stalls will be providing a wide range of crafts, quizzes, demonstrations, films, interactive displays and things to make. All of which will help everyone ‘learn, enjoy and get involved’ with their environment.

This is a great opportunity for environment students to network with people across the environmental sector, find out about volunteering and placement options and boost your CV! For everyone interested in education, you could help run and activity for children and get some hands on experience in providing outdoor learning!

Our first meeting will be held on Wednesday 25 February at 6pm at the Granary, everyone welcome!
